Here's what we were working with before we got started - an aging flat section showing visible cracking and separation at the seams, with patched flashing around the pipe boot. That kind of wear doesn't get better on its own, especially with New Orleans storm seasons being what they are.

We went in and did a full reroof, and the result speaks for itself. Clean, uniform shingles laid tight from ridge to eave, with straight lines all the way across. This is the kind of install that holds up when the wind picks up and the rain comes sideways.

What makes this one a little different is that it was built to FORTIFIED standards. FORTIFIED is a building standard developed by the IBHS - Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety - that goes beyond standard building codes. The goal is a roof system that performs better under the kind of weather punishment this region gets regularly. That means better sealing, better fastening, and better protection at the edges and penetrations where most roofs fail first.

For New Orleans homeowners, FORTIFIED certification can also open the door to meaningful insurance premium discounts. It's not just about durability - it's about long-term cost savings too. If your roof is aging or you've been putting off getting it looked at, a roof inspection is always the right first step. We can tell you exactly where things stand before you commit to anything.

We do this work all over the New Orleans area and we know what these homes need to hold up. No shortcuts, no guesswork.
